"Here's to the crazy ones."
Hey, my name is John Seyferth. I built this website. I saw a request for startup tweet talking about how a person wanted throwback tech merch during the first week of quarantine, and a few days later, I had it built with the highest quality materials shipping out on demand for under $100.
While I’m working on other things and this really was just meant to be a side project, I’m proud of the product I put out there. It was the first thing I ever built myself and just put out there for people to see and use. We’ve generated sales from all over the world, and it taught me a lot about the importance of the customer experience. Another lesson I learned through this, but I think applies to life on a broader scale, is if you're only half committed to something, it isn't going to become what you want. Find your people, and find work you love, and give it your all.
The brands on this website were trailblazers. They fought against conventional rules, often times pushing back against power structures that had been in place for decades. In many cases, even though the company didn’t work out, they succeeded in driving innovation forward.
I find that incredibly inspiring.
